When my son entered Class 1, around the age of 7, I noticed a sudden wave of changes in his behavior. It felt like overnight, my sweet, obedient little boy had started becoming more stubborn and easily angered. Simple things would trigger big reactions, and even calm conversations sometimes turned into battles of will.
One thing that really stood out to me was how much he wanted my full attention.
